WELCOME NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS

TERM 3 2011-2012 begins on Thursday, February 2nd
.

Dear Students,

Due to the fact that many of your VLE homepages have become quite long because of the length of your completed courses list, you will only have access to your courses from the previous term as well as the current term. If you require any information from your older courses, please contact support at support@uopeople.org

Many of you have noticed that we have started proctoring final exams and we wanted to explain the intent behind this process. Proctoring exams is essential as this process:
  • Enhances the development of our continuous pursuit of building a quality university.
  • Guarantees proper student verification, which meets the standards of accrediting agencies.
  • Assures that the student who takes the proctored final exam is the same person that enrolled in the program.
  • Assures that the final exam result is a true reflection of the student’s own knowledge.
While this process may be somewhat inconvenient for some students, implementing this process is essential – both for the quality of the University and our efforts towards accreditation.

Please also kindly note that information on proctoring has always been available in our University Catalog for your review. We encourage you to review the University Catalog in detail:

Additionally, please address all further questions regarding proctoring exams to student.services@uopeople.org

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Best Regards,

University of the People
