Dear Students,

This is a reminder to all of you on the serious importance of submitting your own original work in your own words, in your assignments, within the Discussion Forum, and in your Learning  Journal entries. If you use the words of others, without referencing the source, then you are committing plagiarism, or cheating, which is a very serious offense.

The consequences of plagiarism or cheating may result in failure of the assignment, failure of the course, or even dismissal from the University, according to the University’s Academic Code of Conduct which can be found in the University Catalog, pages 72-73. The following is a link to the catalog: http://www.uopeople.org/files/Pdf/university_catalog.pdf

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For questions on what plagiarism is and how to avoid it, please contact your instructor and Academic Affairs at academic.affairs@uopeople.org
